This policy explains how Reside Global collects, uses, shares, retains and protects personal information. It should be read together with the Terms & Conditions.

01

Information we collect

We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, optional telephone number, selected country and guide edition, access option, profile, primary intent, timeline, preferred region, notes submitted through Private Access, and consultation or scheduling details.

We may also retain basic order, transaction, server and technical records reasonably necessary to operate, secure and troubleshoot the website and fulfil purchased services.

02

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. Reside Global receives transaction and order information needed to confirm and fulfil a purchase, but does not store full payment-card numbers or card security codes.

03

Scheduling and meetings

Consultation scheduling may be handled through Calendly, with calendar and video-meeting functionality provided through Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams. Information submitted to those services is also subject to their respective privacy practices.

04

How information is used

Personal information may be used to process and fulfil purchases, provide secure access to country guides, schedule and administer private consultations, respond to inquiries, provide customer support, understand the country or region a client is considering, maintain security, prevent misuse, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain business or transaction records where reasonably necessary.

05

Service providers

Reside Global may use service providers for payment processing, scheduling, hosting, email, calendar and video-meeting services. Those providers receive information only as reasonably necessary to perform the relevant service.

Depending on the provider and the user’s location, information may be processed or stored outside the country where it was originally collected.

06

Professional introductions

Where a client asks Reside Global to facilitate an introduction to an independent property, legal, tax, immigration, banking, insurance, technical, relocation or other local professional, relevant contact and project information may be shared with that professional to make the requested introduction.

Reside Global does not disclose a client’s information to a professional merely because the client purchased a guide. The scope of any introduction depends on the client’s request and the information reasonably needed to begin the conversation.

Independent professionals maintain their own privacy practices and become responsible for information provided directly to them after an introduction.
07

Marketing and sale of information

Purchasing a country guide or consultation does not, by itself, enrol you in a general marketing list. Marketing communications will be sent only where permitted and, where required, with appropriate consent.

Reside Global does not sell personal information.

08

Retention

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including order fulfilment, customer service, security, accounting and legal obligations. Certain transaction records may need to be retained for longer periods where required by law.

09

Security

Reside Global uses reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information it handles. Payment-card information is handled through Stripe-hosted checkout, and country guide access is provided through the established secure delivery process. No internet-based service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10

Access, correction and deletion

You may contact Reside Global to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, subject to legal, accounting, security and record-retention requirements that may apply.

11

Children

Reside Global’s paid services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 18.

12

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the website, services, professional-introduction process, service providers or legal requirements. The effective date shown above will be updated when material revisions are made.
